Role purpose: The Indirect Channel Sales Specialist oversees the Company’s sales and solution activities based on channel needs; He is also involved in establishing the strategic direction for the sales channel through Technology Partners (resellers), based upon information from sales & solution specialists, Business Partners, Retail Channels, customer input and market analysis. This role plans and coordinates Sales & Solution Support initiatives as well as activities to the company’s indirect channels Smart Partnerships, while working closely with the other departments to achieve growth and company goals; To advise our Trade Partners, business customers and Regional Teams about solutions which differentiate us from our competition using new and existing applications and solutions and thus creating value for customers. Directly responsible to onboard Technology Partners, manage end to end relationship and drive sales to achieve business goals.

 

Key accountabilities and decision ownership 

  • To deliver Vodacom Business solutions (Fixed, Voice, Mobile data, IoT, Digital, Cloud) in order to meet and surpass the detailed budget of the Smart Partnership sales channel in terms of sales and revenue.
  • Manage the day-to-day Partners’ activities and keep the business on track to achieve goals.
  • Contribute to the further development of technology offers and Partner Program being able to differentiate from the competition.
  • Develop the Smart Partnership strategy to expand Vodacom products reach and profit revenues.
  • Ensure 360° visibility of partnership’s activities, projects and results.

Must have technical / professional qualifications

  • Tertiary education.
  • Flexible and creative in dealing with Partners
  • Degree in management an advantage
  • Customer relations experience.
  • Minimum 5 years professional experience in sales and customer service.
  • Experience in and Knowledge of Telecoms industry would be an advantage

Key performance indicators

  • Smart Partnership Sales Performance vs. Target –Ensure Partner are enabled to achieve the targets;
  • Smart Partnerships development – Onboard and maintain Technology Partners as indirect sales partner that will bring value to our customers though segmented and integrated offers.
  • Relationship Promoter Score – enabling Smart Partners to be Vodacom ambassador and promote our solutions.
